2000 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am
Named the Grease Monkey, the Trans Am was treated to a major rebuild, so I have divided the pages up into two sections, a historical one for the various things I modified whilst it was the “old” Transam and a new page for the full rebuild it eventually got… take your pick.
The spec of the original Trans Am when I purchased it was;

LS1 GEN III 5.7 litre V8, T-56 6-speed manual transmission, Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam Gen III/LS1/LS6 350, Hi-Tech Chrome Moly Pushrods, Crane Cams LS1 rocker kit, Comp Cams Gen III/LS1/LS6 RPM Valve Spring Upgrade Kit, Comp Cams LS1,LS2,LS6 High Performance Valve Locks, Hypertech Thermostat 160° F, K&N Air Filter, SLP Air Box Lid & Smooth Bellows, Granatelli 75mm 3 Pin Mass Air Meter, Hooker Headers 1.75" Black Full Length Headers, Hooker Headers Off-Road Y-pipe, Flowmaster Muffler Cross-flow 80 Series / Custom Tip end, Oil cooler, Throttle body heating bypassed, Disabled rear 02 sensors, Air injection system removed/disabled, Diablosport Programmer GM LS1 + Diagnose tool + installed custom tune.
Original Transmission:
B&M Ripper Shifter 6 spd, Skip shift feature disabled, Corvette ZR1 Wheels 18" 275/40 265/35.
The rest:
Cut (yuk!) lowered springs + bilstein shocks.
